Product Overview

Bimba MRS-242-DXP Stainless Steel Original Line Cylinder

It is a stainless steel, rodless magnetic coupled cylinder, which belongs to the MRS series of Bimba (now a brand of IMI Precision Engineering). This product is designed for harsh environments and has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, dust resistance, and high load. It is suitable for fields with high requirements for hygiene and reliability such as food processing, medical equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Core Features

Rodless magnetic coupling drive (No Rod, Magnetic Coupling)

The external slide is driven by internal magnetic coupling, without exposed piston rod, avoiding seal wear and contamination risks.

Zero leakage, suitable for clean room, vacuum or humid environment.

All stainless steel construction (Stainless Steel Construction)

Cylinder body & slide: 304 or 316 stainless steel, corrosion-resistant, acid-resistant, and meets FDA/USDA hygiene standards.

Rust-proof piston rod: hard chrome-plated or stainless steel, suitable for humid, high temperature or chemical environments.

High load and precise control

Double-acting drive: air pressure controls reciprocating motion and has stable thrust.

Optional cushioning: Air cushioning (-DXP suffix may indicate cushioning option) reduces terminal impact.

High protection rating

Standard IP65 protection (dust and water resistant), higher ratings (such as IP67) available.

Operating pressure: 50–120 psi (3.4–8.3 bar).

Temperature range: -20°C to +150°C (special seals available for high temperature versions).
