Product Overview

If flammable gases and vapors need to be monitored outside Ex zones, the CC22 transmitter is a reliable and economical solution. The CC22 transmits measured values and status displays via analog (0.2-1 mA or 4-20 mA) or digital (RS-485) signal.  In combination with GfG's reliable controllers, it can be installed in new gas detection systems or retrofitted into existing ones.

The CC22 uses catalytic combustion (CC) to detect combustible gases and vapors such as methane, propane and hydrogen. The long-life sensors make the CC22 an economical solution for detecting a wide range of combustible gases in the measuring ranges 0 to 100 % LEL and 0 to 4 % by volume (NH3). Its automatic temperature compensation and the linearization of the measuring signals ensure high measuring accuracy.

Functional safety and device protection
The hardware of the CC22 complies with the European standard for functional safety DIN EN 61508-2: 2011 (SIL). The housing is protected against the ingress of dust and water (protection class: IP54). An optional weatherproof housing provides additional protection.

Communication and service
Signals are transmitted either on the analog industrial standard (optionally 0.2-1 mA or 4-20 mA) or via the digital RS-485 interface (Modbus protocol). The CC22 uses two status LEDs to indicate its operating status. Service and adjustments can be carried out on site using the optional RC22 remote control (one-person adjustment). Test gases for function tests can be inserted via a calibration adapter.
