The UST-05LN is a scanning laser rangefinder. This sensor emits pulsed laser beams within a 270° field of view. When the emitted laser beam reflects off an object, it measures the distance by applying the Time-of-Flight (TOF) principle. The sensor has 541 measurement steps with a spacing of 0.5°, and users can preset up to 31 zone patterns within the sensor. Each zone has 3 outputs; when the sensor detects an object within a zone, the corresponding output is switched to the off state.
