El-O-Matic was established, initially as a subcontract machine shop, the company soon specialized in the manufacture of pneumatic rack and pinion valve actuators.
The El-O-Matic worldwide network was quickly established in just five years after the company was founded - the first national unit was opened in Germany.
This was followed by units in the U.S.A. (1982), United Kingdom and Singapore (1985), India (1990), and South Africa (1994).The El-O-Matic company was acquired by Emerson Electric, an American multinational conglomerate consisting of more than 300 companies and divisions.Updated EL-O-Matic logo is launched with the new F Series actuator, offering premium design engineering and latest in “Fit & Forget” technology.
EL-O-Matic is now managed by Emerson as an independent brand, widely available through a global network of independent distributors, valve OEMs, valve integrators, and Emerson Impact Partners.
