The DPF 2/6-150... is a 6-cavity high-power base station duplex filter with a frequency band of 138 - 175 MHz.
There are two basic models of the duplexer:
The DPF 2/6-150 L model can be tuned within the 138 - 156 MHz frequency band, while the DPF 2/6-150 H model can be tuned within the 152 - 175 MHz frequency band, both with a nominal duplex separation of 4.5 MHz.
This type of filter uses enlarged (40 x 40 mm) full quarter-wavelength cavities with silver-plated temperature-compensated resonator elements. The high Q values achievable in these cavities enable the filter to operate with very narrow duplex spacing while maintaining low insertion loss. Additionally, duplex isolation is improved at moderate spacings.
With the increased high-voltage point insulation distance, the enlarged size also enhances the filter's power-handling capacity, and the inevitable power consumption (which always exists, even though insertion loss is kept to a minimum) will be distributed over a larger area. This filter is capable of continuous operation at a power level of 150 W.
The DPF 2/6-150... is primarily used in equipment where Tx and Rx operate on a single frequency, but it can also be used where Tx and Rx operate on multiple channels with slightly reduced data, that is, within a certain port bandwidth. In the latter case, factory adjustment is recommended.
The housing is made of extruded aluminum, the chassis is made of passivated steel, and both the rigid coaxial cables and connectors use polytetrafluoroethylene insulation.
The DPF 2/6-150... is coated with black vinyl to prevent corrosion.
